This topic was selected in response to recent events, where according to a scroll.in article- "out of the 18 sports, India competed in at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, only two sports federations had women at the helm"
It also highlighted the very nature of the sporting world which is a "grossly male-dominated field with men occupying the key decision making roles.."
In another recent article, "Hundreds of Indian wrestlers, including Olympic medal winning champions, protested in Delhi last month accusing officials, including the president of their federation of sexual harrasment. This sparked outrage in the country and once again raised concerns about the safety of female athletes in the south asian nation" (fairplanet.org)

At LFC, many letters that we have received from children have expressed the same concerns, regarding the lack of opportunities that are often overlooked, and the widespread sexual abuse that is seen in the sporting world. We wish to take these issues very seriously, by discussing these challenges in this Live session with @prashant888m, who is the co-founder of @dilsekhelo_india, an ngo aiming to empower kids through sports.
